Great Bake Event Raises Hundreds for LIBRA

For the second year running a Great Bake event has been held in Easebourne near Midhurst by dedicated supporters, raising more than £400 for the Lions International Blood Research Appeal – LIBRA.

On 17th July 2018 Val May and Rachel Davies, Cowdray Park Scheme Manager, residents and their friends enjoyed a coffee morning. It was held in the beautiful grounds of Birthday House in Easebourne, which featured marquee and decorations.

As part of the Great Bake supporters enjoyed teas, coffees and a delicious range of cakes. They also took part in a raffle and made donations for items on bric-a-brac stall.

LIBRA Trustee Glyn Upjohn said: “Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this event such a great success. We really appreciate the ongoing support of Midhurst residents and friends.
“A great amount was raised through the event and generous donations. The funds will go towards our Tree of Life Appeal as we support the development of new life improving and lifesaving treatments for patients with blood caner.”
