LIBRA raises funds towards equipping the department of Haematological Medicine at King’s College Hospital in London. We have a number of dedicated supporters throughout the South East and beyond.

Through donations and fundraising projects, we help to ensure that groundbreaking diagnostic research and treatments can be carried out by some of the world’s leading experts on haematological medicine.

We take a proactive approach to fundraising and offer supporters the chance to take part in an exciting calendar of activities.

Making a difference

  • We provide diagnostic equipment to help experts develop treatments for Liver disease, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Sickle Cell disease and Diabetes
  • We help to cover the cost of specialist machines that are required for use on blood donors and also patients
  • Through LIBRA, equipment is provided for a team of 86 experts who focus on treating leukaemia
  • The unit that we support has the largest bone marrow transplant programme in the UK
  • We’re also funding a database project that will benefit other hospitals and it is already proving a great success
  • We provide funds to cover the costs of laboratory space such as the ‘LIBRA Corridor’ which is a working unit, developed with our support.
