Chris became a Lion in April 1970 at the formation and Chartering of Gillingham Lions Club where he has remained. He lives in the village of Hempstead on the outskirts of Gillingham in Kent. With a fantastic hands-on approach, he works as a promoter and fundraiser for LIBRA. Chris also helps to increase the number of supporters by raising awareness about the appeal.
Sharing his enthusiasm for LIBRA, Chris said: “I never cease to be amazed at the fantastic strides which have been taken by the LIBRA laboratories over the last 30 years and I am proud to be a Trustee of an organisation funding such ground-breaking research and diagnostic medicine.
“I fervently hope that the LIBRA funded laboratories will make the breakthroughs which are pending in the near future to find cures for many of the current incurable diseases and blood related disorders, through cell therapy.”
