With the help of LIBRA King’s launched the ‘Acorns to Oaks Project’ to raise awareness about the need for funding to cover the costs of specialist equipment.  Trustees have agreed to support this project and raise £249,000. Through hard work and great determination we are £36,000 away from hitting this target.

In order to successfully treat patients and develop cures, the Haematology Department requires three pieces of diagnostic equipment which will be purchased with the £249,000. These consist of two FACS Analysers and an AID iSpot Reader.

Andrew Lodge, LIBRA Chairman, said: “With £36,000 to go, we need your support to ensure that we achieve our goal and provide the Haematology Department with the funds it requires to purchase this state-of-the-art equipment.  We have worked closely with King’s since 1976 and over the years it has become one of the world’s leading centres for research into haematological diseases and cell therapies.
