King’s College Hospital, based in South East London, is a large teaching hospital with strong roots in its local community. Cell therapy units at the hospital are recognised on a national and international level as they are an example of clinical and academic excellence. The hospital offers a number of highly regarded specialist services to a wide population in the South East of England and beyond. It is best known for its work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac and haemato-oncology.

LIBRA works with Professor Ghulam Mufti, the Head of the Haematology Unit, to establish exactly what equipment is needed to ensure world class patient care and research into treatments. The professor also advises Trustees on the funding required to help extend and develop existing facilities. LIBRA supports the hospital's Acorns to Oaks Project and the equipping of a new research/treatment unit.
