Payroll Giving is the perfect way to make a donation directly from your salary and it is one of the most popular ways to provide ongoing support. It is important that you decide how much you would like to give each month as the amount will be paid to LIBRA straight from your monthly salary before tax is deducted. It makes sense to choose Payroll Giving, especially if you plan to donate on a regular basis as it is a tax-effective way for employees and pensioners to give. For every £1 that you donate, 20p, at 20% tax rate, will go to LIBRA, rather than the taxman!

You must check that your employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme and if they do you will need to make your personnel department aware of your decision. Once you have confirmed your plans you should contact LIBRA to request a Payroll Giving form. It is really easy to complete and you can hand it over to your personnel department who must also provide us with a copy for our records. The form simply authorises your employer to deduct donations from your salary, using an approved Payroll Giving agency.

Further information about the benefits of payroll can be found on the Inland Revenue website:www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/payrollgiving

Please contact us to request a Payroll Giving form by calling 07795 255 393 or email info@libralionscharity.org

If you do opt to use this method for donating you will receive the LIBRA newsletter on a quarterly basis and event invitations to ensure that you can see how your donations are being put to good use.
